Non-Profit Founder Wins Big with ‘Holey Roller’!
On today’s show, Ellen had a special surprise for an audience member who promotes children's literacy.
Stan Tucker is a former 2nd grade teacher who created a non-profit called Leap for Literacy, which focuses on encouraging students to read by giving them free books. He likely has all the classic "Nancy Drew" books that inspired the movie "Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase," which Ellen executive produced. Stan drives a donated bus he converted into a library called “Read n' Roll,” helping Title 1 schools in his community.
Ellen called him down from the audience to play a fun game of "Holey Roller" for a chance to win $25,000. While he didn’t make the roll, Ellen still rewarded him for his good deeds!
